In my previous post, I predicted that a Black Swan event was imminent. Since then I have received further signs that this is the case so I will now briefly explain a little more about what a Black Swan event is and what this means for humanity.
A Black Swan event is something which is extremely rare and prior to its occurrence, considered improbable, but which leaves profound changes in its wake, radically altering the status quo forever. Examples of Black Swan events are described in more detail in Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s book about Black Swan theory, including the rise of the Internet, the 9/11 attacks, the invention of the personal computer and World War I.
Black Swan events can also occur on a personal level but I believe that the signs that I’ve been getting imply a more global change which is connected to 2012. My daughter was recently reading about 2012 on the internet and asked me with some anxiety what it meant and whether the world was going to end. I reassured her that planet Earth was not going to cease to exist – but that life as we know it would go through some radical and much needed changes. We’re already seeing the beginnings of this with the revolutions which are occurring around the world and the riots which have occurred here in the UK. People everywhere have had enough of the lack of empathy shown by the powers-that- be regarding their circumstances and the inequality which this fosters (and vice versa) and are beginning to rise up and make their voices heard.
I believe that the impending Black Swan event will be the turning point for humanity and will lead us into a new era – an era where people wake up and recognise that the foundations on which our society are built are too precarious and imbalanced to last ; where people wake up and realise that they’ve been sold a lie by the powers-that-be, who have abused that power to feather their own nests at the expense of the majority. We’ve been led to believe that consumerism is the key to happiness – that we should all work hard to buy stuff to validate our existence – but as the economic systems built on these principles collapse, and people are left with nothing whilst the people at the top of these systems carry on as normal, more and more people are beginning to reflect on the truth of this and look for more authentic and empathic paths to inner peace.
I’m still not sure what the Black Swan will be, but I do know that it will be soon and will be something which will wake a lot of people up very quickly, with the result eventually being lasting positive change for humanity, kicking off in 2012 when the dust from the Black Swan event has settled. (Please note that this change will of course not occur overnight (changes of this magnitude never do), but we will see a positive movement towards change starting in 2012 which will be tangible and the beginning of something very wonderful.) So yes, I suppose you could say that the world will end – but only in its current form.

Hi, really enjoyed this article, may I ask about the signs that you received leading you to write this? S
The emerging Occupy Wall Street movement was unexpected, ignored at first and is now spreading globally. Not sure where it will lead, or if that would qualify but it definitely could have long term implications.
Thank you both for your comments
The ‘Occupy’ movement is spreading fast and if it continues at this pace, then it could well lead to the turning point mentioned in this article. I really, really hope so.
As for the signs – the symbol of the Black Swan simply started appearing for me everywhere – and I mean everywhere! (You can read more about this phenomenon here http://empathicguidance.wordpress.com/2010/12/23/talkin-bout-a-revolution-a-prediction-for-2011-and-beyond/) Combined with a strong intuitive feeling, this is what lead me to feel that a Black Swan event was imminent.
I’ve always tried to notice signs in my life and the world too.
Here’s an interesting article about how this movement started:

We definitely live in interesting times!
Wouldn’t you consider the events of this past year to be in this category? Such as massive number of birds falling dead from the Sky, and the events in Japan in mid-March? I mean, weren’t you shocked to your bones by the magnitude of the Earthquake, the Tsunami, AND the meltdowns at the Fukushima plant? I was. ..and this week, the “National Defense Authorization Act” which takes away our civil liberties. Allows the Military to indefinitely detain American citizens, without legal council, AND to torture them! And the news is silent, as it has been with the horrors in Japan.
Thanks for your comment, Ellen.
Whilst the events you mention were all significant, my empathic guidance about the Black Swan came after this in the summer. I do have a strong suspicion as to what it might be but the problem with Black Swans, of course, is that we cannot see how hugely significant they were in changing the course of history except with hindsight.
There are many, many appalling events and injustices beyond the ones you mentioned occurring worldwide as we speak – for example, the level of police brutality being used against peaceful protesters who are rightfully incensed at the injustice of our economic system and the abuses of our ‘leaders’. Here in the UK as the austerity drive claims more victims, I think we’re going to see some radical changes and much more ‘people power’. The systems we currently have are being exploited by the few at the expense of the many and I think ultimately, whilst the ‘birthing period’ will be painful, the changes we will eventually see will make it worthwhile.
